Welcome From The Dean

As you learn more about the Sigmund Weis School of Business at Susquehanna University, I hope you reach the same conclusion I have — that this is one of the top undergraduate business schools in the world.

Why? We offer a rare combination — an AACSB-accredited business program focused solely on undergraduates at a private liberal arts university. Our students obtain a state-of-the-art business education and also gain a global perspective and learn to think critically and write well — hallmarks of a liberal arts education.

Our program highlights international experiences, with 100% of students studying away from campus for at least two weeks. In the past year our students have studied across the world and had internships in the United Kingdom, Italy, Singapore, South Korea and other countries.

Employers see the value of a Susquehanna education. Most of our business students are employed within six months of graduation. We don’t prepare students for jobs, we groom them for a lifetime of achievement, leadership and service.

— Matthew Rousu, Ph.D.
Dean and Professor of Economics, Sigmund Weis School of Business

Spend a semester living and studying in the heart of London with fellow students from the Sigmund Weis School of Business. The London program is our most popular study abroad trip for business students.

Gain practical experience for your business career in a fun, interactive setting — our trading room features 12 Bloomberg terminals and the Blough-Weis Library houses four additional ones. The terminals have specialized keyboards, double-screen displays and professional investment software.

Using the same technology as the world’s leading banks, corporations and government agencies, you’ll learn to utilize leading indicators, research and news in real time. You’ll evaluate economic scenarios and place trades while you gain insight into how financial markets impact the global economy.

By earning a coveted Bloomberg Certification through your coursework, you’ll have a huge advantage over your peers when you search for undergraduate internships and employment after college.
